Unity and Excellence: The Marlborough Straits Netball Tournament

The annual Marlborough Straits Netball Tournament is a premier highlight on the College calendar, and this year’s edition was exceptional. The atmosphere was buzzing as teams arrived from across Singapore and Malaysia, all eager to test themselves against high-calibre competition. MCM was proud to host the event, fielding four teams: U18 Blues and Whites, and U15 Blues and Whites, each of whom contributed to the vibrant energy of the day.

The courts were alive with cheers and the sound of whistles, showcasing the very best of youth sport: passion, teamwork, and joy. Beyond the play itself, the true standout was the incredible sportsmanship. Players encouraged one another and competed with fierce determination while maintaining deep respect for their opponents. For Marlborough, the day was defined by the friendships built and the pride of representing the school with heart. The resilience and professionalism shown throughout the tournament reflect a netball programme moving strongly in the right direction.
