You want the best for your children; so do we. We know that the happier a child is, the more successful they become. We believe that happiness comes from the pursuit of excellence, caring relationships and a stimulating environment. As a uniquely British Prep School, enjoying purpose built accommodation within 90 acres of breathtaking grounds, we ensure that we discover your child’s strengths and motivate them to tackle challenges. We look forward to sharing each pupil’s journey as they develop and grow, from 3 to 13 years old. These confident young people are then ready to take on the challenges of Senior School life.
The Nursery and Pre-Prep are situated in their own purpose-built micro-school, next to the main Prep School building. The Preparatory School has use of its own sports hall, swimming pool, libraries, dining halls and play areas. Nursery and Reception are located in the Upcot building, Year 1 in Hermitage building and Year 2 and 3 are based in Priory building, within the Pre-Prep School.
Our focus is very much on the individual child discovering the excitement of learning in a nurturing and stimulating environment, shaped by our commitment to Marlborough College’s ethos of ‘Conversation, Compassion and Companionship.’ Therefore, we also offer a full programme of creative, physical, cerebral and artistic activities as well as the mainstream team and individual sports.
Our passionate, professional teachers deliver an outstanding education, in a setting that offers the space and support for your child to explore the world around them and discover their own talents and interests. We ensure that our pupils are not just well-prepared for the next step in their journey, but are inquisitive, confident and happy.
Why choose Marlborough Prep?
Experience a British Curriculum
Our curriculum is designed to ensure that every individual maximises their potential.
Marlborough College Malaysia’s curriculum broadly follows and extends the British National Curriculum to allow for a proper combination of breadth and specialisation. It has been designed to stimulate, challenge and support all pupils.
With access to a world of new opportunities
Our co-curricular offerings provide challenge and comfort as a critical part of a meaningful holistic education. We expect all pupils of Marlborough College Malaysia to engage with a broad range of activities outside the classroom, and for one or a number of these to become a large part of a pupil’s life.
A place in one of our 4 day houses
House pupils gain a sense of belonging and enjoy a wide range of team building activities. Every term sees the pupils of each house represent their house at sporting fixtures and performances in a competitive way to receive the House Cup at the end of the year. The children work up the ladder earning merits and house points. We then celebrate these achievements with our half-termly house assemblies, where pupils receive special award certificates.
Chichester House was named after Sir Francis Charles Chichester KBE (17 September 1901 – 26 August 1972), an aviator and sailor. The mascot for Chichester is a Rhino and the House colour is red.
Hunt House is named after John Hunt, a great explorer, mountain climber and decorated military captain. The Hunt mascot is a Snow Leopard and the House colour is blue.
Merlin House was named after the legendary wizard featured in Arthurian legend and medieval Welsh poetry. The Merlin mascot is a Falcon and the House colour is green.
Seymour House is named after Jane Seymour (c. 1508 – 24 October 1537), who was Queen of England from 1536 to 1537, the third wife of King Henry VIII. The mascot for Seymour is a Lion and the House colour is yellow.
