Year 2 Traditional Tales Day

Priory was transformed into a faraway fairyland last Thursday, 30th April as the children arrived in an impressive array of outfits showcasing their favourite traditional tales characters.

Goldilocks, Little Red Riding Hood, and Jack the Giant-Slayer entered the magical hallways, ready for a fun-filled day to celebrate the conclusion of their writing unit, where they authored their own twisted fairy tales.

The day began with the children becoming royal architects: working in teams, they gathered leaves, sticks, and Lego to construct sturdy houses designed to withstand the Big Bad Wolf. Next, they stepped into the role of amazing apothecaries to brew magical potions infused with love, wisdom, and courage. To finish the festivities, the children created their own magical fairylands and proudly showcased their hard work to their parents. The day was a spectacular success, bringing our Traditional Tales unit to life in the most creative and memorable way.
