University of Edinburgh: Exploring Global Challenges Through GeoSciences

Students recently attended an engaging presentation from Professor Neil Stuart of the University of Edinburgh’s School of GeoSciences, exploring the wide range of undergraduate pathways available within Geography, Earth Sciences, Environmental Science, and related fields.

The session highlighted how GeoSciences tackles some of the most pressing global challenges, including climate change, sustainability, natural hazards, and environmental justice, while also showcasing the interdisciplinary nature of the subject and the diverse career opportunities available to graduates.

Students also experienced a mini university-style lecture focused on disaster risk reduction and social vulnerability, offering valuable insight into both the academic content and teaching style of a world-leading university.
