Russell Group and USA University Fair at MCM

On Friday, 17th April, MCM was proud to host an outstanding Russell Group and USA University Fair in the Senior School Sports Hall, bringing together a wide range of leading global institutions for our pupils.

The event featured an impressive line-up of top UK universities, including University of Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, Durham, Edinburgh, Exeter, Glasgow, King’s College London, Liverpool, Manchester, Nottingham, Warwick, and York, among others. These institutions represent some of the most prestigious and research-intensive universities in the world, offering pupils a direct opportunity to engage with admissions teams and gain insight into highly competitive courses.

Alongside the UK universities, pupils also had the opportunity to explore pathways to the United States, with representatives from EducationUSA, Southern Utah University and Missouri State University in attendance. This provided valuable perspective on the US application process, liberal arts education and the breadth of opportunities available across different systems.

Throughout the lunchtime session, pupils were able to speak directly with university representatives, ask informed questions, and begin to shape their understanding of potential destinations and pathways. The atmosphere was purposeful and engaging, with many pupils taking full advantage of the opportunity to make meaningful connections and gather first-hand information.

Events such as this are a key part of MCM’s University Guidance programme, ensuring that pupils are not only well-informed but also confident in navigating an increasingly competitive global admissions landscape.
