In Year 2 we broadly follow the English National Curriculum, extending and enriching it through our wonderfully unique location. Our curriculum allows for academic extension, holistic development and ensures that each individual child maximises their potential. Throughout the year the children are encouraged to become increasingly independent and resilient, both inside and out of the classroom. The children are taught core lessons including Literacy, Mathematics, Science Humanities, ICT and PSHE, by their Form Beak and Specialists lessons, such as Mandarin, P.E., Ballet, Art, Music, Spanish and Malay by specialist Beaks.

Each child has the opportunity to perform on stage in a variety of performances including the Year 2 lead Nativity, Ballet Showcase, Musical showcases and assemblies. Other highlights of the year included topic based theme days, sporting events, such as the Pre-Prep Sports Day and the Pre-Prep Swimming Gala. The year culminates in our prize day, where one child who encompasses, our ethos of the 3 C’s is awarded the prestigious Ali Sharpe Commitment Cup. Other prizes include an Achievement Award and Masters Award.
