Head of Mandarin: Eve Du

Eve is Head of Mandarin in the Senior School. Her first degree was in Law from Beijing Normal University. After taking ten years to work at a local senior high school in Beijing, she completed MA of Education at  Macquarie University, in Sydney and later a post-graduate TESOL certificate at the same university. Eve has taught in China, Malaysia and Korea. Prior posts have included Yew Chong International School, in Beijing(2005-2012), Marlborough College Malaysia (2012-2014), in Johor Bahru, and Dulwich College Seoul(2014-2018), in South Korea. Eve spent 6 years as Head of Mandarin in Marlborough College Malaysia and Dulwich College Seoul. She has a wealth of experience of teaching, taught a wide range of sets of Mandarin as Foreign, Second and Chinese as First language. She just returned to MCM last year, who took more attention to IB Chinese A language and literature course.

Eve’s interests include badminton, Chinese calligraphy and brush painting, reading and travelling. She is looking forward to introducing Chinese traditional cultures such as Beijing opera mask creation and paper crafting.
