We want our pupils to discover and develop their abilities and talents in the broadest sense.
Marlborough College Malaysia’s curriculum broadly follows and extends the British National Curriculum to allow for a proper combination of breadth and specialisation.
It has been designed to stimulate, challenge and support all pupils. The curriculum is supported by a wide range of academic extension and enrichment activities through societies, lectures, theatre trips, museum and gallery visits, debates, poetry readings, conference and concerts creating a full co-curriculum which recognises that qualifications alone do not produce a well-balanced educated person.
English National Curriculum with a global perspective
At Marlborough College Malaysia, our curriculum blends the rigour of the English National Curriculum with a global perspective, ensuring that pupils receive a well-rounded education that prepares them for success in an interconnected world. From Pre-Prep through to Sixth Form, we offer a dynamic academic programme enriched by co-curricular opportunities that inspire curiosity, critical thinking, and creativity. Our approach nurtures not only academic achievement but also the development of character, independence, and global awareness. University guidance and destinations
Our pupils are sought-after globally by the very best. Consistently high achievement in IB along with outstanding application support has meant that pupils have entered some of the world’s leading universities, including Oxford, Imperial and London School of Economics in the UK; McGill, University of British Columbia, and the University of Toronto in Canada; University of Melbourne, Australia; École Polytechnique, France; KAIST in Korea and UCLA in the United States.
Pupils thrive through a flexible curriculum that nurtures talents
We want our pupils to discover and develop their abilities and talents in the broadest sense. Time is allowed in the curriculum for co-curricular activities, and on occasions, the timetable is suspended or modified to allow activities to occur, such as Educational Visits and Outreach and sports fixtures.
Academic Support in Boarding
The College is home to a thriving community of boarders who enjoy academic support from visiting tutors and resident staff within their Houses. With access to the College’s resources day and night, they enrich their school experience both academically and socially. Most importantly, living in a close-knit community fosters independence, tolerance, and responsibility—ideal preparation for university and beyond.
