Leadership Farewell Supper

Tuesday marked a poignant moment for the Sixth Form prefects and Heads of Houses as they gathered at the Master’s Lodge for a farewell supper. Hosted by the Master, Mrs Burbury, alongside the Senior Management Team (SMT) and Housemasters (HMs), the event served as a heartfelt opportunity to express gratitude and bid farewell to the departing young leaders of the school.

For the Master, this evening held particular significance as it marked the culmination of his first year at the College. Conversely, for the Sixth Form Prefects and Heads of Houses, it symbolised the end of their journey at MCM as they prepare to embark on study leave and eventually pursue higher education at universities around the world. The atmosphere of the evening was bittersweet, as the prefects reflected on their time spent serving the College community while anticipating the next chapter of their lives. Amidst the nostalgia, heartfelt thanks flowed from the Master and SMT, acknowledging the invaluable contributions of the prefects throughout the academic year.

As the evening unfolded, attendees were treated to delicious food, and conversations flowed freely, weaving together memories, aspirations, and reflections on the journey shared at MCM. The evening also served as closure for the departing Upper Sixth leaders and an opportunity to celebrate the achievements this year has had.
