Night at The Movies 2024

On Saturday 3rd February, the Wykeham Hall was home to “A Night at The Movies”. A night of music performances from famous film soundtracks. It was a chance for pupils to play some of their favourite compositions from films across the last few decades.  From Harry Potter, The Wizard of Oz to Disney’s “Up” there was something for every audience member.

The night started with the MCM Symphony Orchestra, which played X-Men First Class and followed with a Harry Potter melody. It set the scene for a fantastic evening to follow with performances from the Flute Choir, the Jazz Band and String Quartet. Each group performed exceptionally well and offered a unique and fresh take on the music that we all know and love.

The Senior Choir dazzled with a spirited version of “May It Be”. They all sang beautifully and for the grand finale they joined forces with the MCM Symphony Orchestra in a version of Adele’s “Skyfall”. It was a beautiful end to the night and highlighted the musical talent across all stages of the College.
