Nut Aware College & Severe Allergies

The College aims to protect children who have allergies to nuts and other severe allergies yet also help them, as they grow up, to take responsibility as to what food they can eat and to be aware of where they may be put at risk.

We do not allow nor encourage nuts or nut products in school, this means that the following items should not be brought into school:  packs of nuts, peanut butter sandwiches, fruit and cereal bars that contain nuts, chocolate bars or sweets that contain nuts, and most importantly any cakes or pastries made with nuts.

Please also be mindful that we also do have pupils that have severe allergy to other allergens, hence, we do not allow snacks that are brought in from home to be shared amongst pupils.

Thank you very much indeed for your support with this.
