Exceptional student gains Harvard University place

The College is absolutely delighted that our Sixth Form Prefect Elisa Yicen See has been offered a place at Harvard, one of the world’s most prestigious academic institutions. Elisa has achieved an incredible amount during her time at Marlborough College Malaysia since she joined as a Founding member. As well as taking on the role of Prefect, she has taken every opportunity to extend her learning. It is wonderful that her outstanding academic excellence has been recognised and that she has an opportunity to join one of the top educational institutions in the world.

OUTREACH

Food and Clothing Drive | Monday 15th to 19th January 2024

From Monday 15th to Friday 19th January, we are hosting an Outreach Food & Clothing Drive to further support our local charities, including the Rainbow Care Centre, which delivers meals and clothing to support those who are homeless or live below the poverty line in Johor Bahru.

As a whole school, we will be collecting:

  • dry foods (canned foods, cooking oils, flour, rice etc.)
  • toiletries (including nappies, first aid kits, toothbrushes etc.)
  • clothing (washed and in good condition, for both children and adults)

For the safety of all recipients, all food packages must be unopened.

If you have anything to donate, please bring those items to Pre-Prep Reception, the Prep Outreach Room or the Senior School LRC next week.

Thank you in advance for your generosity.

SENIOR SCHOOL DRAMA

Sixth Form Theatre Evening | 17th January at 6.30pm | Theatre

Marlborough College Malaysia invites you to attend the Sixth Form Theatre Evening. The Upper Sixth Literature and Performance students have devised work influenced by An Elephant Vanishes by Haruki Murakami. These are rather surrealist pieces that explore isolation and loneliness in a modern world.  Followed by the Lower Sixth IB Theatre students who have created performances from the play Things I Know To Be True while learning about practitioners.
