COBIS Poetry Competition Success

On Thursday, 18th January, the Wallace House assembly buzzed with excitement as a special announcement took centre stage. Niranjenna Linganathan was awarded the prestigious runner-up prize in the COBIS Poetry Competition.

This remarkable achievement is particularly noteworthy considering the fierce competition, with over 220 entries pouring in from more than 135 schools worldwide. The theme for this year’s competition, “A Future to Be Proud Of,” inspired participants to explore their creativity and vision for the future.

Niranjenna’s poetic prowess stood out, earning her not only recognition from the esteemed competition but also the admiration of the MCM community. The assembly served as the perfect platform to celebrate this outstanding accomplishment, showcasing the talent that resides within the College.

We applaud Niranjenna’s success and recognise the dedication and effort that goes into crafting poetry that resonates with a worldwide audience. This achievement not only brings pride to Wallace House but also underscores the creativity and excellence among our students. We look forward to witnessing more remarkable achievements from the talented individuals within the College.
