OM Sports Success

Marlborough College Malaysia is delighted to share the news that former pupil Ebe Igwe has proudly represented Singapore in the Olympic qualifiers in Japan. Ebe remains a familiar figure within the MCM community, regularly playing for Iskandar Pirates Rugby Club, where he plays alongside both pupils and beaks.

Here is what Ebe had to say about his Rugby success:

“Since leaving Marlborough College Malaysia I have continued to enjoy my rugby, representing Singapore in international tournaments at U20 level as well as playing alongside my studies at Loughborough University. Most recently, I have had the privilege to represent Singapore Men’s Rugby at the Asian Olympic 7’s Qualification in Osaka. It was an incredible experience, competing against some of the best rugby players in Asia and I have to give a lot of credit to the coaching and playing opportunities given to me at MCM for helping me to reach this level. Mr. Riley and the sports department taught me not only physical rugby skills but also the values I needed to be successful on and off the pitch.”
