On Monday 27th November and Tuesday 28th November, the Wykeham Hall was home to the Prep School’s production of Moana. Held over several matinee and evening performances, two different casts put on shows that were humorous, energetic and incredibly heartfelt.

Both casts transported the audience to the land of Motunui, where Moana takes off on a daring mission to save her people. Along the way, she finds the demigod Maui, who guides Moana in the ways of a master way-finder, and together they set sail on an action-packed voyage, meeting monsters and overcoming impossible odds.

The production was well thought out with a boat taking centre stage. The cast collaborated seamlessly, juggling props and donning costumes with skill. Across all four of the productions, the Prep pupils gave a magical performance, with beautiful singing and incredible dancing – a testament to the hours both casts invested in rehearsals.

Well done to all of the pupils and staff for their hard work in producing the musical, from the pupils and staff who made props and costumes to decorating the sets and those who organised the cast behind the scenes. The set was stunning, complemented by outstanding lighting and live music. Everyone did exceptionally well and made it a wonderful way to end the Michaelmas term.
