Russell Group University Fair | 3rd November 2023 | Remove to L6th | Wykeham Hall | 1.50pm to 4.14pm

On the 3rd of November, pupils across the Senior School will be invited to attend the Russell Group University Fair. The Russell Group is a prestigious association of 24 (14 in attendance at the Fair) leading research universities in the United Kingdom. Russell Group universities are renowned for their high academic standards, rigorous research programmes, and excellent teaching quality. They often have world-class faculty and facilities. With this in mind, many employers value degrees from Russell Group universities and, similar to our own Old Marlburian network, they have strong alumni networks, which can provide valuable connections and opportunities for career advancement.

This Fair provides an invaluable opportunity for those pupils who are early in their Senior School journey to start considering how their academic interests will align with certain universities, and those in later years can research and choose the universities that complement their career goals and aspirations, and find out any specific entry requirements and criteria for their chosen programme of study.

“What Parents and Carers Need to Know About Among Us”

Created in 2018, Among Us has become one of the gaming world’s biggest breakout hits of recent years. Its simplicity helped Among Us to resonate with younger players in particular: the game’s second largest audience slice is the 13–18 age bracket.

Read this week’s guide, updated for 2023, that takes another look at Among Us. While the 7+ age rating, emphasis on teamwork and cartoonish, colourful graphics all suit a young fan-base, however, the game does carry in-game purchases and possible contact from strangers.
