Year 4 Residential 2023

The Year 4 residential was another huge success this year as the group enjoyed a range of challenges and exciting adventures within the beautiful grounds of the College.

First was a lesson in survival skills at our Forest School. Here, the pupils learnt how to construct shelters, forage for food, and find water from natural sources. Afterwards, the Year 4s were only too happy to cool down by heading to the lake for some paddle boarding, kayaking and lots of splashing around. As evening approached, pupils gathered in the Pre-Prep for a team BBQ, followed by a walk of the Marlborough Mile with torches. It was the perfect way to unwind after a busy day.

Thursday was a chance for the Year 4 explorers to take a boat trip at Sungai Melayu where they saw the beauty of the mangroves. Then it was time to get crafty by making their own tie-dye t-shirts, followed by an energetic game of Capture the Flag. Having built up a healthy appetite, the pupils enjoyed a delicious pizza party to end the evening.

The final morning was the most anticipated as the group took on the challenge of a seriously muddy steeplechase. It was great to see them laughing and smiling as they ended the activity with the exhilarating slip-and-slide. After such a busy few days, the final part of the residential ended with a quiz and an awards presentation.

Everyone had an amazing time, making new friends and lasting memories.
