International honours for harpist

Tasha, a Year 7 pupil at Marlborough College Malaysia with a passion for the harp, had a remarkable summer. She kicked it off with a performance in the “An Uncommon Journey Ⅱ” concert, having been invited by Ms. Cherry Mah, the Resident Conductor of the KLPAC Symphonic Band. In July, Tasha participated in the Singapore Rave Harp Chamber Prestige Competition under the “Advanced Pedal Category,”. Despite being the youngest contestant and competing against international players, she won the “Distinction Award” while performing with an oboist, playing compositions by Claude Debussay and Astor Piazzolla.

A dedicated member of the Marlborough College Malaysia school orchestra, Tasha’s next feat is performing alongside Harpist Kathryn Tan in the Spring Wind Concert in Kuala Lumpur and Penang. These achievements at such a young age are a real testament to her talent and incredible hard work.
