Sixth Form Leavers Ball 2023
On Friday 19th May Marlborough College Malaysia bid a fond farewell to our latest cohort of Old Marlburians. The Upper Sixth cohort, comprising 60 pupils, finished their IB examinations on Friday 19th and enjoyed a celebratory Sixth Form Leavers’ Ball in the evening as they now look to the future of university and beyond.
The evening began with welcome drinks for the pupils, beaks and parents as they arrived wearing their best black tie. As conversation and laughter filled the air, guests made their way into the ballroom, a beautifully transformed Wykeham Hall to find their seats for the evening. After a welcome speech by the Master, guests enjoyed a wonderful three course meal, scattered with speeches from the iconic Mrs and Dr Tomlinson, Senior Prefect Sora and a brilliant dance by Eshaan, Ren, Angelina and Wafie.
As the evening progressed, guests raised their glasses in a toast to the class of 2023 to say well done for completing their Marlborough education and good luck for their next steps in life. The evening ended with a dance to Disbanded (the Sixth Form band) and a live performance of BPM (the staff band)..
After a wonderful fireworks display, pupils said a fond farewell for now to Marlborough and left the site as Old Marlburians, part of a global network of Marlburians from the UK, Malaysia and beyond. We wish all of our leavers the best of luck at university and beyond and hope to see them again on Prize Day on 24th June.
