MCUK Shell Exchange: Week 2
This week saw pupils return from the MCUK Shell Exchange programme, embracing the warmth of Malaysia again, but sad to have left behind such a unique experience. As our pupils bid farewell to the UK, we look back on their experiences in their last week abroad.
In their final week in the UK, pupils ventured to Oxford, visiting the markets and University of Oxford Colleges. Pupils experienced more UK culture with a trip to the Theatre Royal in Bath to watch ‘Noughts and Crosses’, a gripping Romeo and Juliet story by acclaimed writer Malorie Blackman and adapted by Sabrina Mahfouz.
Of our pupil highlights for this week, it was delightful to see our talented MCM band ‘Citrus’ play in the MCUK Rock and Pop concert on Saturday night. Their rendition of ‘Sweet Child of Mine’ provided excellent entertainment for both the MCM and MCUK pupils.
Pupils were also able to call their fellow exchange students in Malaysia, questioning them on activities they have taken part in, and asking how they have found the exchange experience. This provided the perfect end to the exchange as both MCM and MCUK pupils were able to reflect on their time abroad, experiences they have had and friendships they have made.
