Johor Flooding Outreach Fundraising
As part of Marlborough College Malaysia’s Outreach programme, our pupils have been fundraising to help those affected by the floods in Johor. ‘Southern Volunteers’ is an active NGO under the Johor state government which has helped victims of the floods. This is the charity that Outreach is working with to ensure help goes to those who need it.
The generosity and kindness of the MCM community has enabled us to provide not only immediate aid but also long-term assistance through ‘Southern Volunteers’. A total of RM10,232.55 has been collected in a week, in addition to the non-perishable food items, toiletries, blankets, and medical supplies donated by families.
These donations will make a huge difference as they will be used to provide shelter, food supplies, and medical care where necessary; all are vital components when dealing with such disasters. On behalf of everyone in our school community, we thank all those who have donated for their incredible support throughout this initiative.
