‘Dress as a famous person’: Year 7 and 8 Social
On Friday 3rd March, pupils from Year 7 and 8 gathered in the Green Hall for a social event to remember. With the theme of ‘dress as a famous person’ a plethora of outfits were donned, from the Mario brothers to Justin Beiber, ‘celebrities’ piled in for an evening of fun, dancing and a great amount of singing.
Starting the evening off with a pick-and-mix treat, each ‘celebrity’ was given their own named cup to fill with sweet treats such as popcorn, marshmallows or brownies. From there, pupils took part in a myriad of dance competitions, including Just Dance as set up by our Sixth Form organisers, dance battles and the party favourite of a dance circle.
Our ‘celebrities’ enjoyed an action-packed, fun filled social, generously organised by our Sixth Form Wellbeing Ambassadors. This is the first disco social of the year for the Year 7 and 8s, and it certainly went down well, with pupils leaving full to the brim with sweet treats, Katy Perry playing in their heads and huge smiles upon their faces.
