Mr Terrence Tan Li-Chern Advocate & Solicitor, Singapore, Barrister of the Inner Temple, Accredited Mediator, Singapore Mediation Centre.
We are delighted to be physically joined by the remarkable Terence Tan, an Old Marlburian, for his lecture. Terence will reflect on his diverse journey from Marlborough College to practising law in Singapore, including his time opening award-winning restaurants.
There will be an opportunity for a Q&A with him during the lecture, and refreshments afterwards to continue the conversation.
Sungai Melayu Charity Concert
6th February | Green Hall | 4.30pm – 5.30pm
Join us for a musical showcase by the children of Sungai Melayu School. One of our Lower Sixth CAS project groups has been working with the children to put together this concert.
Tickets are free, however, any donations raised will go towards purchasing musical equipment for the Sungai Melayu School. Donations can also be made at the Prep and Senior School reception.

6th – 10th February 2023 | Pret-a-Portrait whole school photographs
We are delighted to have Pret-a-portrait return to the College for whole school photographs this year. Senior School pupils will require formal shirts for photographs on the 6th and 7th February 2023. Prep school pupils will be photographed from the 8th to 10th February 2023. Photographs will be available for sale on the Pret-a-portrait website following the visit. Full details of how to access your child’s individual photographs will be sent to you within one month of the sitting.

On this occasion, children are not allowed to attend.

IB Subject Choices: Supporting you on your journey
This week the College Spotlight focuses on the journey of Hundred pupils choosing their IB options, the support MCM provides, and the importance of selecting the right subjects for you.
As Hundred mock exams end, and Lower Sixth exams begin, Hundred begin to turn their minds to the future, looking at potential IB options for their next two years at MCM. Selecting the right choices is incredibly important to their success and enjoyment of their IB Diploma, but how do we support our pupils through this process?

On the subject of ‘Common Humanity’, the Master explores similarities in culture, traditions and beliefs between divisions in global society in light of today’s Holocaust Memorial Day. In educating about the divisions of the past, we must continue to teach our pupils to unite against the wrongdoings of the future.
