Year 3 India Day

On Tuesday 29th November, Year 3 celebrated multiculturalism and inclusivity in India Day, building on their History topic this Michaelmas Term. The day began with a parade around the Pre Prep area, showing off their outfits to Nursery and other pupils. 

Throughout the day, pupils completed a series of activities inspired by Indian culture including sampling Indian food such as curry and mango lassi as well as learning how to make a mango hedgehog. Pupils also learnt about and recited some Indian poetry and created an Indian-inspired collage with different materials. 

Year 3 had a brilliant day that gave them an opportunity to explore their History topic out of the classroom, an element that is so crucial to a holistic education.
