International School Art Exhibition 2022

Throughout the Michaelmas Term, Marlborough College Malaysia’s Lower and Upper Sixth pupils have been working on pieces that have been selected for the International School Art ‘IN’ Exhibition. This event sees 14 international schools come together to highlight the work of our very gifted and highly talented students.

Marlborough College Malaysia pupils enjoyed a fabulous night at the opening of the exhibition at the Australian High Commission in Singapore. The pupils’ sculptures and paintings drew deserved praise and attention, the sense of pride and achievement from the pupils was incredible.

Our artists, Linda, Chiara, Zeynep and Mao from the Lower Sixth, and Kai Lih, Boon Ling, Stephanie, Ella and Alison from the Upper Sixth all had their work displayed at the High Commission. Travelling to Singapore for the evening, the pupils were joined by members of SMT and others within the MCM community. Mr. Clements, the IB Art teacher and co-curator of the exhibition itself, joined pupils and staff at the event, proud of his pupils and the work they have done.

After the exhibition, the pieces will be returned to the pupils and some will be donated to the charity auction to raise money for chosen Outreach charities. The exhibition will remain at the Australian High Commission until Wednesday 18th January for those who wish to see the work in person. The work is also displayed on this official ‘IN’ International School Art Exhibition website.
