FoMCM Christmas Fair 2022
On Sunday 4th December our annual Friends of MCM Christmas Fair took place. The bustling event featured over 40 stalls selling everything from food to paintings. Pupils, parents and many in the wider community came together at the College to do their Christmas shopping and enjoy the Christmas spirit.
When the gates opened at noon, people quickly bought their snowflakes, a form of currency for many stalls at the fair, and headed in. Overwhelmed by activities, stalls and food places, many headed to the Prep Dining Hall which had been transformed into a stage for performers, lined with places to buy festive refreshments. Throughout the fair, pupils danced, sang and played to entertain the crowds with festive performances.
While many gathered to watch the performances, others ventured into the Prep Art Cafe which now featured activities such as ‘Name the Teddy’, ‘Festive Golf’ and the joyful stocks which were populated with beaks from throughout the College. Children had fun batik painting and on the popular bouncy castle, after which an ice pop or poke bowl was enjoyed.
The Wykeham Hall housed over 20 stalls selling Christmas decorations, cards and gifts from a plethora of vendors from all over Malaysia. However, a clear highlight of the fair was the Santa’s Grotto in which children met Santa Claus and his two elves.
The afternoon was a wonderful way to begin the festive period with all of the MCM community. Many went away with music in their ears, goodies in their bags and full of Christmas treats. Many thanks to the Friends of MCM for arranging this event.
