10th Anniversary Batik Day

As part of our 10th Anniversary, Marlborough College Malaysia is celebrating a traditional form of Malaysian artwork, central to Malaysian culture: batik painting. Over the 2nd December, pupils and staff from across the  whole College came together to paint a 10 metre long batik created by our own MCM Art department.

Featuring the words “MCM Ulang Tahun Ke – 10” meaning ‘MCM 10th Anniversary’, the batik depicts traditional Malaysian flowers and wildlife. This spectacularly colourful piece has been painted by pupils from Reception to Upper Sixth, staff from across the College and other members of the MCM community. The artwork will be displayed in the College for pupils, staff, parents and visitors to admire.

This is a wonderful show of community, creativity and celebration of our 10th Anniversary.
