Rotary Orphanage Visit MT2022
On Friday 11th November one of our Outreach charities visited Marlborough College Malaysia for the first time since the Covid pandemic. The Rotary Orphanage is a home for underprivileged children who have lost their parents. MCM has been working with the school to help fund teachers and classroom equipment.
However, this visit represented a special day for the Rotary Orphanage children as they were invited to MCM to spend time with the Sixth Form Outreach pupils in activities such as swimming, music, art and gymnastics. Swimming for the first time since the Covid pandemic, the children played pool games with our Outreach pupils including pool volleyball, tag and plenty of fun with the pool floaties.
The afternoon, coordinated by Wellbeing and Outreach head Ms Ngkane, concluded with a wonderful pizza party for all the children followed by a huge slice of homemade cake by our catering department. A superb afternoon for the Rotary Orphanage children who will come back to MCM again this term for a trip to Desaru.
