On Wednesday 15th June 2022, Remove pupils (Year 10) performed their IGCSE Scripted Drama pieces to a small audience of their peers. Each of these pieces displayed the pupils’ commitment, creativity and control as they used a variety of techniques, such as stylised movement, to convey the story.
There were two performances by two groups of pupils; the first group performed Find Me by Olywn Wymark, with two pupils playing the same character and performing each line in perfect unison to create a truly powerful performance. The second group performed DNA by Dennis Kelly, using a simplistic set of frames and bed sheets to artistically and powerfully convey the sorry tale of troubled teens.
The audience thoroughly enjoyed the performances, and we look forward to seeing what these pupils produce as they progress through their IGCSE course.
