On Thursday 23rd June 2022 the much anticipated Summer Serenade Concerts took place. With pupils from Year 2 to Year 8 performing in String Ensembles, Orchestras and Choirs, the events truly highlighted the talent and skill within the Prep School.
The Matinee opened with a fantastic rendition of Canon in D by the Prep Strings Ensemble and from there the music flowed through the Wykeham Hall, with a combination of group performances and a saxophone duet performance of La Paloma performed by Buddy and Dexter.
The evening performance was another success with a drumming ensemble, a Year 6 Band, and choirs performing pieces from multiple genres. The evening was rounded off with a superb rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen, performed by Year 8 pupils.
A wonderful way to round up the musical achievements of the pupils throughout the year.
