Year 2 Up-cycled Fashion Show

Throughout the Summer Term, the Year 2 pupils have been learning about the effect that single-use plastics have on the environment and the different ways in which they can reduce their plastic footprint by reusing and recycling. With this in mind, the pupils upcycled plastic items to create items of clothing which they modelled on the catwalk for their peers.

There was a wonderful array of items that the pupils created using plastic items such as milk bottles, yoghurt pots, and plastic bags. This included jet packs, high heels, pet carriers, and handbags, all of which the pupils showed off on the catwalk.

It was a great display of the creativity of the Year 2 pupils and a brilliant showcase of how plastic can be reused and reimagined after it has completed its original purpose.
