On Saturday 23rd April 2022, pupils from across the College took part in the internal Marlborough College Malaysia Cross-Country Competition. This is the first time in over two years that the competition has been held and it was wonderful to see the pupils take to the cross-country course once again. The course took the pupils across the 90 acre campus of MCM and being able to hold such an event entirely within the breathtaking grounds of the College ensures the safety of the pupils whilst allowing them to run across a variety of terrain.
The day started with the U9 pupils, from Year 3 and Year 4, running a shorter version of the course. The U9 race was followed by the U11, Year 5 and Year 6, and U13, Year 7 and Year 8 races. The final race of the day was the U16, comprising pupils from Shell, Remove and Hundred. It was a great opportunity for the members of the Running Club to put into practice the skills that they have developed throughout the year.
The whole morning was a great success as the pupils showed their determination and resilience with some spectacular runs. Congratulations to those that took part in the event.
