International Women’s Day 2022

Tuesday, 8th March 2022 marked the annual International Women’s Day. This day is designed to raise awareness around Women’s Rights. The theme for this year’s day was Break the Bias with the accompanying arms crossed pose.

The day was marked across the College in different ways. Many pupils and beaks struck the Break the Bias pose and promised to challenge gender stereotypes, discrimination, and bias. In History, the pupils researched women in history and then presented a biography about one woman in history that inspired them or whose story they found interesting. There were some interesting profiles, such as Malala Yousafzai, Marie Curie, Harriet Tubman, and Wu Zhao.

It was wonderful to see members of Staff and pupils standing together to celebrate women and promising to make changes.
