Naturalist Day | Year 2

On the 8th February 2022, Year 2 went on an expedition around the campus to discover the different flora and fauna that can be found within the 90-acre site of Marlborough College Malaysia.

Putting on their Alfred Russell Wallace (Old Marlburian) thinking hats, the pupils went and explored the lake, surrounding mangroves and Barton Farm, learning about Fiddlehead Ferns, Pitcher Plants, and Dragonflies along the way.

The pupils took sketchbooks and made drawings of all the different wildlife that they spotted, and even played some Nature Spotting Bingo.

The pupils thoroughly enjoyed their day of exploring and pretending to be like Alfred Russell Wallace, luckily they did not need to go as far as Wallace to discover some interesting nature – it was right on their doorstep.
