Natural Forms | Year 8 Art

Last term, the Year 8 pupils worked on creating artwork following the theme of Natural Forms. For this work, the pupils took images from nature and have created an interpretation of these forms of nature. The artwork varies from depictions of mountains to up-close shots of rose petals.

The pupils were required to think about what their images and artwork represent in human emotions. One pupil wrote about how their painting of the inner section of a rose represents ‘inner turmoil, imperfect and flawed up close and yet beautiful from a distance’.

The artwork is being displayed in the Prep Art Cafe area and can be seen by pupils throughout the day. It is a beautiful example of the talent amongst the pupils.
