MCM partner with the University of Pennsylvania, USA.
Marlborough College Malaysia (MCM) is delighted to have been chosen as a service partner organisation, as part of a service-learning course offered at the University of Pennsylvania, USA. Spring Semester of 2021.
The course is offered through Penn’s Master of Applied Positive Psychology (MAPP) programme, a one-year programme that develops scholar-practitioners in positive psychology and well-being. This course is designed to offer MAPP students an opportunity to practise ethical, research-informed application of positive psychology in professional, non-profit settings, and MCM has been selected as a partnership project.
MCM will serve as a virtual classroom for a group of 3-5 Penn MAPP students. The students will learn how MCM applies positive psychology throughout The College, conduct a literature review of applicable topics and present an Action Plan which will help the College build on its strengths and continue to thrive.
“This is the first time MCM will be linked with the world’s leading university in Positive Psychology and we are delighted to have established this partnership. We believe it will be hugely beneficial to MCM pupils and staff and also to the MAPP students” said Mr Cowie, Deputy Head Pastoral.
