As part of our Year 4 Humanities unit on the Aztecs, the children were given the opportunity to dress up for the day. In keeping with the theme, we had many warriors, nobles and commoners ready to have an Aztec experience. The pupils played an Aztec game of trying to get a ball through a hoop whilst trying to not let the ball drop on the floor. They took part in a carousel of Aztec themed activities throughout the day, including jewellery making, hot chocolate drinking and headdress designing. The day allows the children to expand their knowledge of the humanities topic by engaging their limitless imagination and immersing themselves in Aztec life.
Many thanks to all the beaks and to the parents for making and providing the costumes to make this day so special and relevant to the whole of Year 4.
