It’s hard to put into words the passion and commitment shown by pupils when they are wearing their house swipes!
House sport has a great sense of camaraderie, competitiveness and inclusiveness.
Many of the sports played at Marlborough have House competitions but Sports Days epitomise everything that is great about sport at Marlborough. This year we introduced Triple Jump and Javelin alongside our other traditional events with great success. The athleticism shown by pupils was exceptional with several new College records being set. A notable mention must go to Mahana Sajko (Remove – 400m, 1.07.40s) and Nicholas Tan (Sixth Form – High Jump, 1.70m) for their individual performances and 2019 College records. The 4 x 100m was exhilarating with Munawir Hill boys setting a new track time of 51.20s which was impressive in the extreme heat. In the boys’ competition, only 22 points separated the top three Houses with Wills House finishing in first place with a great team performance. In the girls’ competition, Wallace House dominated the points table with an impressive team score of 1078 on the day.
