On Tuesday 11th June, we had one of the best events of the year – the Pre-Prep Swim Gala. This is a great opportunity for the children in Reception, Y1 and Y2 to show their parents and peers the swimming and water confidence that they have been working so hard on all year.
The children raced a variety of events, from freestyle, backstroke and breaststroke, to noodle and kickboard races, before finishing up with a host of exciting relays that involved pupils from different year groups racing together to gain points for their houses.
There were many close races, and the children showed great spirit when swimming and supporting their friends. In the end, Hunt was victorious, finishing only a couple of points ahead of Seymour.
Huge thanks to Mrs Wright for organising, the PE team and Pre-Prep staff for making the event run so smoothly, and to our Y8 helpers for life-guarding.
