December 5th, 6th and 7th saw the sparkle of Christmas arrive in the Theatre with a special Collection of Christmas themed pieces last week.
Audiences were taken on a theatre journey through Shakespeare’s ‘Twelfth Night’ and Dickens’ ‘A Christmas Carol’, to a modern day game show highlighting the pitfalls and difficulties when families meet over Christmas dinner. With a devised piece based on “Band Aid”, Christmas poems beautifully read by Hundred pupils and opening carols from the Senior Choir, it was an evening where there was truly something for everyone.
We were impressed with the way pupils dealt with some sensitive themes in the pieces and everyone involved demonstrated excellent focus and dedication to the rehearsal process. With our recently formed Tech team taking on all of the stage management roles it was truly a group effort where everyone was supportive and collaborated to bring the performances to life.
