Our fantastic IGCSE Drama pupils had the chance to shine again this week when the second Showcase of the year was performed by our Hundred exam classes. The depth of emotion on display engaged audiences, while effective use of props of rope, sheets, car wheels and chains highlighted beautifully choreographed physical theatre. The five devised pieces drew from historical events and social media forum discussions, and the single scripted piece was edited masterfully. Throughout the process the pupils have impressed us by embodying key aspects of the IB Diploma Learner Profile with their caring attitude toward each other, principled approach to rehearsals, courageousness when taking creative risks on stage and communicating roles so effectively; they are true proof that the IB starts before the Sixth Form and we are proud of all they have achieved.
