Sixth Form Ball

After months of meticulous planning, on the 24th of March the Marlburian Committee hosted MCM’s first ever Sixth Form ball. With over a hundred guests, the event was a huge success and everyone enjoyed themselves thoroughly.

The theatre was decorated with gorgeous fairy lights, billowing sheets of fabric and glittering trees, which set the mood for the evening.

After kicking off the event with speeches by Marlburian Committee members of the Lower Sixth, we were treated to a delicious three-course meal. Throughout the meal there was a variety of entertainment including Dr T and Mrs Inskip’s amazing rendition of ‘Burning Down the House’ and Marc Ang’s iconic cover of ’She Wants To Dance With Me’ by Rick Astley.

Later on in the night a variety of accolades were given out, with highlights including Victoria Yeo and Jordan Chiew winning best-dressed female and male on the night.

After an inspirational speech by Naylin Al and Tamara Lai, our outgoing Senior Prefects, everyone approached the dance floor with vigour and energy, fuelled by the brownies and ice cream served for dessert.

Special thanks go to the Marlburian Committee for organising the event, and the Prefect body for their support in setting up. Ms Walker, Mr Raj, Mr Morill and Ms Bridgman all deserve a special mention for being instrumental in making the event happen.
