On Saturday 17th March, the College was fortunate enough to receive a visit from ex-England Cricket Captain, Mike Gatting. Working alongside Sam and Jacqueline Yang, of the Yang Foundation, Mike is currently making his way across schools in South East Asia to deliver expert coaching clinics and promote cricket as a sport in the region. Both our Prep and Senior pupils were treated to one of these clinics on Saturday, with Mike on hand to give them pointers on how to improve in all aspects of the sport. This was an extremely successful occasion and it provided an incredible opportunity for the boys, who performed brilliantly throughout the day. Our guests were also kind enough to pay tribute to howcricket has been developed at the College, with Mike and Sam both speaking highly of the College’s facilities and pitches. Hopefully this inspirational visit will enable us to be involved in tournaments and other events in the near future, something which will significantly benefit the development of our players. It won’t be long until they are beating the beak’s team with ease!
