Visits From Leeds and Keele Universities

Budding MCM engineers and physicists were fortunate to have an Engineering Lecturer from the University of Leeds, Dr Benjamin Chong, deliver a lecture at MCM this week in the Marlburian Sixth Form Centre. Dr Benjamin delivered a lecture on Power Electronics: An Interdisciplinary Area of Electronic & Electrical Engineering”, which is closely linked to his teaching and research.

Dr Benjamin’s visit followed a visit last Friday from Ms Sarah Beech, the International Development Manager for Keele University who gave a highly informative talk to interested pupils about Keele University’s courses. Keele University is the UK’s largest campus university with 97% of the research conducted there deemed to be of world-leading or international importance. Keele University visited ahead of MCM’s University Fair in March and is one of many individual visits from universities as pupils consider options beyond Sixth Form.
