MCM Prize Day 2015

The annual Prize Day took place on Saturday 4th July.

Nicholas Goh entertained the audience of over 500 with a brilliant rendition of Chopin’s Fantasie Impromptu, which set the tone for the occasion.

The words of Jerusalem from Milton by William Blake (1757 – 1827) to the music of Sir Hubert Parry (written in 1916) then resonated throughout the hall before the retiring Chairman of Council, Mr John Manser, gave his speech. Mr Manser having completed a very distinguished six years handed over the position of Chairman to Y.A.M. Tunku Besar Seri Menanti, Tunku Ali Redhauddin ibni Tunku Muhriz, another most distinguished Old Marlburian.

Following the orchestra’s stirring performance of Pirates of the Caribbean, the Master, Mr Robert Pick, delivered his speech. Prizes were then awarded to both Prep and Senior School pupils before the occasion closed with celebratory refreshments to conclude what has been an excellent year.
