The playing fields of Marlborough College Malaysia were awash with the house colours to mark the annual Pre-Prep Sports Day.
Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 all participated in a variety of sporting events including the old favourites: the sack race, egg and spoon race and an obstacle course. All Pre-Prep pupils took part in a total of nine events that demonstrated their skills in throwing, running, jumping skipping and hopping.
The College believes that participation in an appropriate amount of sporting events from an early age is an important part of a child’s education. It enriches many aspects of their development: motor skills, teamwork and good character. It was superb to have so many of our young pupils involved in what is, for many of them, a highlight of the term.
It was wonderful to see such great sportsmanship from all involved.
