Sunday 22nd March marked the first fixture between the Singapore Cricket Club and the College. Both the Master and Hugh Darwell, captain of the SCC side, stressed that this would be the start of a close relationship between the two institutions and an invitation has already been extended for Marlborough to play at the Padang next year. The College batted first in this 30 over game and posted a testing total of 190 in their 30 overs with excellent performances with the bat from Sean Aggarwal and Josh Bickford who retired on 40 and Mr Wilkinson who was out for 39. The second innings was sadly washed out despite the persistence of the Master who brought the Marlborough team back onto the pitch on two occasions after heavy showers. This would undoubtedly have been a close match and all involved look forward to the return fixture.
