The inaugural Marlborough College Malaysia Prize Day took place on the final morning of the academic year. Blue skies and sunshine greeted the five hundred attendees for the event which took place in the sports hall.
Mr John Manser, Chairman of Council, and the Master gave speeches following music from the orchestra and a rousing rendition of Jerusalem. Prizes were awarded to eighty worthy recipients and the House Cups were received by Seymour in the Prep School and Honan House in the Senior School. The choir performed to conclude the formal Prize Giving.
Festivities continued in the dining hall and in Court for Common Room, parents and pupils. Following this, HRH Raja Zarith Sofiah joined the Master and Mrs Pick, the Senior Management Team and Council members for lunch at the Master’s Lodge, to receive a cheque for RM26,176.80 from the College charity fund on behalf of the Red Crescent Society.
An excellent day was made complete by watching the British and Irish Lions comprehensively defeat the Wallabies!
