Sally was educated in the UK, South Africa and France. She completed her secondary schooling at the Lycée International de St Germain-en-Laye, where she obtained the International Option of the French Baccalaureat with Honours. She returned to the UK to study Modern Foreign Languages at Durham University with a year abroad spent teaching in Chile and studying in Argentina. After completing a PGCE at Emmanuel College, Cambridge University, she went on to teach Spanish and French at Marlborough College in Wiltshire. During her twelve years there, she was IB Languages Co-ordinator and Head of Lower School French. On the pastoral side, she tutored in New Court, a girls’ boarding house, and led trips abroad to France and Spain. Other roles included being Mistress in charge of Aerobics, and organising pupil volunteering as part of the Outreach program.

Sally arrived at Marlborough College Malaysia in 2016, initially on a one year exchange to teach Spanish in the Prep and Senior schools. She is delighted to have become a full member of the Common Room in August 2017. She lives with her husband, Peter, who is Housemaster of Sheppard House at the College, and their young children, Lucas and Sebastian.
