Head of History: Katherine Rich

Heads of Department (SS)

Katherine is Head of History. She graduated with a BA in Medieval and Modern History from the University of Birmingham before completing an MA in Cotemporary History at the University of Bristol. After a short spell travelling around Southeast Asia, she then completed her PGCE in Bristol before taking up her first teaching post at King Edward’s School in Bath. Before moving to Marlborough College Malaysia, then went on to teach History at The Perse School in Cambridge, and led the History Department at Nottingham High School for four years.

Katherine is looking forward to leading the History Department at MCM, and getting involved in the vibrant co-curricular programme through Model United Nations and other activities. She has a particular passion for the arts, especially theatre, and also enjoys playing netball and running, interests which she is confident she will be able to utilise in her role as a beak and tutor at MCM.
